Demand Generation Manager

Imagine a security tool that’s been adopted by hundreds of companies through word of mouth. As the first marketer at Vanta, you’ll be responsible for demand generation, performance marketing and customer-led growth from end-to-end. You’ll work cross-functionally with sales, customer success, business operations, and leadership, and you’ll move between strategy and execution.

We started Vanta in 2017 as Equifax had lost every American’s social security number, Home Depot had leaked its customers’ credit card numbers to hackers, and Facebook admitted that it irresponsibly sent user data to third parties who tried to influence the US election.

It was clear that security and privacy had become mainstream issues, and that we all increasingly relied on cloud services to store everything from our personal photos to our communications at work.

Vanta’s mission is to be the layer of trust on top of these services, and to secure the internet, increase trust in software companies, and keep consumer data safe.

We do this by building an automated head of security for technology companies, and we use that system to both help a company secure itself and to prove their security to others.

If we succeed in our mission, it should feel irresponsible for users to put data into a product that isn’t certified by Vanta, and irresponsible for companies to collect data without using Vanta to secure and monitor themselves.

The Role

You will…
  • Drive our paid marketing across multiple channels and geographies with an eye to measurable results
  • Design and orchestrate a pipeline for experimentation across marketing channels, audience targeting, creative, and messaging, and execute to test your hypotheses
  • Own the editorial calendar, including blog, events, limited-time ads, social, etc. and orchestrate external vendors to hit campaign launch dates
  • Independently perform detailed quantitative analysis on marketing performance data at a macro (marketing mix) and micro (individual channel performance) level, report on this analysis on a regular basis, and use it to continuously improve Vanta’s marketing strategy and execution

You might…
  • Have experience in marketing at a technology company, especially experience in demand generation and/or paid media management
  • Love researching and telling stories, and you see educational content as an important part of a buyer’s journey
  • Enjoy working with data, and balancing the quantitive (campaign success) with the qualitative (content strategy)
  • Look to partner with contractors and vendors who are specialists in their crafts
