Create and adopt policies faster than ever with policy builder

One of the most time-consuming aspects of getting compliant is creating and implementing new policies to meet the requirements of frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001. That’s why Vanta has always provided out-of-the-box policy templates to ensure startups can easily align to framework requirements.

With Vanta’s new policy builder experience, you can move through policy creation faster than ever—from customizing policy documents to your unique needs to filling in relevant details—and feel confident while doing so. With step-by-step guidance, fill-in-the-blank prompts, and section editing guidance to help you understand required versus optional details, you’ll sail through policy creation with ease. Policy builder will be available for the full scope of SOC 2 policies in the coming months. Additional framework policy sets will become available throughout the rest of the year.

Streamline background checks directly in Vanta

Coming soon, Vanta will support the ability to conduct background checks—from within the platform. Background checks are a critical part of many compliance frameworks, and Vanta centralizes compliance needs in one tool.

Powered by a partnership with Certn, Vanta users will be able to initiate a background check at a discounted price, monitor the status of open checks, and view the final results after completion, all from within Vanta. Additionally, evidence of background checks completed in Vanta will be automatically associated with the relevant compliance controls, making audits even easier. This capability is being actively rolled out to all Vanta customers over the next month.

From the start, Vanta has invested in building the largest inventory of automated tests and greatest depth of automation in each test to remove as much manual effort as possible from audit prep work.

To help you remediate areas of non-compliance as fast as possible, we’ve invested in enhancing the automated test experience, including a redesigned test details page so you can understand—quickly and easily—what went wrong, who or what is affected, and how to resolve it. These enhancements will be available in beta soon.
